SunBike Radtour: Bike week at Hotel BG Caballero

Bienvenido a Mallorca!

In this home-based tour you can explore the diversity and fineness of the island in a very special way and depending on the daily route, you can extend the stages or shorten them. A sporty pleasure! This tour is also perfect for person who don't want to cycle - the area offers a plenty of swimming or opportunities. Even the capital Palma is waiting to be discovered! Overnights at the hotel BG Caballero, situated near the sea.

TOUR PROFILE: Mallorca is versatile: you expect flat passages, wavy terrain and short climbs. Majorca's roads are ideal for racing!

Individual Arrival to Palma / El Arenal / Can Pastilla.

The first stage leads via Llucmajor to the Mount Puig de Randa. The return way leads via Algaida back to the hotel at Palma / El Arenal / Can Pastilla.

From Playa via Llucmajor, Ses Salines and further on to Santanyi and Felanitx. You can choose between 2 versions: a more comfortable route via Porreres and back to Llucmajor or the challenging route up to the monastery San Salvador (+ 8 km) and back to the hotel.

Start the trip again in direction of Llucmajor. Then the stage leads you to Algaida and Santa Maria del Camí. Before you arrive Orient you have finished the first exhausting part of the trip. A descent down to the village Bunyola. The return way is via La Cabaneta and Sant Jordi and back to the hotel.

Via Santa Maria del Camí you cycle to Bunyola and via Coll de Soller up to about 500 meters. You can enjoy the panorama, before you do the descent to Soller and Port de Soller. Further on you will reach the village Deia and village Valldemossa. Downhill back to the hotel.

This stage leads you again via Santa Maria del Camí and further on via Binissalem and Lloseta to Caimari. You can choose if you want to visit the monastery Lluc (+approx. 2 km). Then the challenging route awaits you - Sa Calobra! It is the highest point of this tour! Delightful descent down to Fornalutx. The route leads you via Bunyola back to the hotel.

At the end of rhte bike week, you will cycle via Algaida to Sineu. Every Wednesday is market day and invites you to buy fresh fruits. About 10 km to Petra. The return route leads back to Playa.

All rooms are modern furnisehd and equipped with bath / shower and WC, telephon, WLAN, Safe, Minibar, SAT-TV, hair dryer, air conditioning and heating.
Furthermore the hotels has an indoor- and outdoor pool, wellnesscenter (Sauna, steam bath, Jacuzzi, massage and fitness area).

If you want, you can also sign up for a group tour, which is offered by the bike station. These guided tours take place on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

The groups consist of a maximum of 16 persons and are led by a professional guide. Following groups are offered: 

• Touren (strength class 2 - 90 to 160 km per day)
• Hobby long (strength class 3 - 80 to 140 km per day)
• Hobby (strength class 4 - 70 to 120 km per day)
• Fun (strength calss 5 - 50 to 100 km per day)
• E-Bike (max. 70 km per day)

For the guided tours you have to buy a coupon (€ 20,- per person / tour) and enter your name in the list (max. 30 min. before tour start)
